$6,748 Canada Child Benefit 2025: Check Payment Schedule & Who Qualifies

Eligible Canadian families will be able to receive the following maximum benefits in a year for children under their care for the 2025-2026 benefit year:  

  • $7,997 annually for each child under 6 years  
  • $6,748 annually for each child between 6 and 17 years  

To illustrate, a family with children of ages 5 and 9, having a net family income of $65,000, is eligible to receive slightly above $11,000 in CCB benefits altogether.  

Who Will Be Eligible For CCB In 2025?

The eligibility criteria for the Canada Child Benefit include the following:

  • You need to be the primary caregiver who is responsible for the child’s upbringing.  
  • The child’s age should be less than 18 years.  
  • The child’s parents should be residing with the child.  
  • Also, the eligibility is determined by your adjusted family net income (AFNI). CCB’s maximum amounts are designed for families with incomes below certain limits and taper off with increasing income.  

2025 CCB Payment Schedule

Payments will be made monthly during the relevant benefit year. Below is the payment calendar for the latter half of 2025:  

  • July – July 18, 2025  
  • August – August 20, 2025  
  • September – September 19, 2025  
  • October – October 18, 2025  
  • November – November 20, 2025  
  • December – December 12, 2025
